Job Title : Lead Construction Planner
Department : Construction Execution & Site Management
Role Definition : 1) Regional: Responsible for preparation of Construction schedule & resource deployment plan. 2) Global: Responsible for need based support for planning documentations related to construction proposals of LE projects worldwide.
Key Role & Responsibility : # Proposal & Projects: -Creating the construction schedules and plans for proposals as well as projects -Monitoring the construction schedules and plans and preparaing the fall back plans for backlogs -Identify the Critical path and Key Mile stones. Perform cross functional co-ordination to resolve issues. - Prepare weekly / monthly reports and Schedule curves.Analyse manpower and resources required to complete the Project. - Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise - Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development - Keep the management up to date on progress - Conducting Delay Analysis -Planning and preparation of resource forecast reports, updating with use of appropriate applications, software. # Process Management: - Recommends upgrading of tools and forms to improve planning function and deliverable quality in alignement with Department Head & Process Owner. - Good knowledge on GC process tools like Construction Cockpit, CMS etc. - Ensure compliance of all HSE policy and procedures. - Take care of self and others with respect to safety and work towards to achieve inter-dependent Safety culture.
Additional Responsibility : 1)Conversant with Primavera and equivalent quick generation of reports as per management requirements 2)Knowledge of handling project control functions of EPC projects. 3) Capability to manage projects up to criticality 3 4) In depth knowledge of working at home office tasks with expert level competencies
Education qualification & Experience : -Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil) Discipline '- Minimum 12 years of experience in construction domain preferably in an EPC organisations including exposure of construction sites in India / abroad. -Knowledge of Projects in Hydro-Carbon /Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petro-Chemical plants. - Hands on Experience & Knowledge on Primavera, MS-Office - Executed planning and control of Construction projects up to criticality 3
Technical Knowledge : • Providing complete Construction Project control service to the project in accordance with Contract, Department Procedures and Work Practices • Analysis of man hour consumption, productivity of major construction deliverables and forecast man hours with respect to standard industrial norms. • Analyse variance / delay indicating the areas of concern, productivity and forecast trends • Management’s project review meetings, schedule interactive workshop Conduct technical audits for Projects control functions to ensure adherence to corporate procedures and quality work practices. • Establish and manage change control mechanism and maintain the register
