Job Title : Lead Data Management
Department : Information Management
Role Definition : Roles at this level are technical leaders in data management technologies developing long-term data architecture solutions to meet business needs. They conceive and successfully complete the most complex and critical data projects for the Engineering unit at LEI. On a project - this role reports to the Project Information Manager (who is a Group Lead on a large scale project)
Key Role & Responsibility : The Lead Data Expert is responsible for the coordination, quality and distribution of technical plant data of medium size projects. He shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following: • Review ITBs to identify data management requirements, able to prepare execution concept • Set-up Engineering Numbering System to control tag and document numbering • Set-up interfaces between Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) and engineering applications (for example SPPID, SPI, SPEL, Documentum) to import engineering tag and document meta data into EDW • Define tag and document validation rules using SQL in EDW for data qualification and consistency • Develop reports using Jasper soft - Master Tag Register, Master Engineering Document Register, Vendor Document Register, Engineering Progress Register • Presentation and training of data management requirements to project team and project partners • Manage technical data of plant throughout plant lifecycle phase - Design, Build, Operate, Maintain • Co-ordination with internal disciplines, project management, customer, partner for data management requirements • Transfer of electronic data to customers and partners according to project requirements • Project team capacity planning • Conducting technical project team meetings to identify problems, opportunities, risk and deviations to mitigate consequence enabling a successful project execution • Regular performance control of the team members, training and development of team members - Implement data schedules, data interfaces, data reports, data validations & development of SQUID - Ensure implementation of execution concepts, preparation of project procedures - Ensure setup of interfaces and database
Additional Responsibility : Managing large size projects Team Size Handled: Minimum 10 team members
Education qualification & Experience : '1. Bachelor of Engineering with 12+ years or Diploma of Engineering with 17+ years of experience in relevant discipline
