Job Title / Position : L2 Network Engineer / NOC Engineer
Department : IT Infrastructure
Educational Qualifications : B.Sc. or equivalent Computer or science Graduate, B-Tech or B.E. (Computer / IT). CCNA, CCNP, Security, Firewall admin knowledge would be added advantage
Technical / Subject Knowledge :

·      Proven experience in a network administrator role

·      Hands on experience in Cisco networking, routing and switching

·      Firewall and security knowledge would be added advantage

·      Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of Network Infrastructure and Data Center

·      Experience with Switching, Routing, Wireless, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired

·      Ability to set up and configure new network infrastructure from scratch

·      Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking

·      CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP Vendor Certification is must

·      Check Point or Polo Alto or equivalent firewall knowledge would be added advantage 

·      Must have knowledge of Networking Tools like SolarWinds, WhatsUp Gold

·      Must have basic knowledge of new technologies like SDN, SD-WAN, SD-Access etc.

·      Ability to work in multiple shifts.

Software Tools & Technology : • Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio • Monitoring tools SolarWinds, Whatsup Gold

Key Role & Responsibility :

•    Analyzing, developing, interpreting and evaluating complex Network design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of network systems
•    Researching, analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance
•    Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
•    Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies
•    Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks infrastructure
•    Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements
•    Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions
•    Monitoring network traffic and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance.

Soft Skills :
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to work with cross cultural teams.
