Job Title / Position : Proposal Project Manager - Business Development & Sales
Department : Business Development & Sales
Description : Should be a chemical / mechanical engineer having around 15 years of experience and knowledge in Business Development & Plant Sales in the areas of refinery/petrochemical, Gas Processing Plants, fertilizers, Cryogenics industry/ Industrial gases (hydrogen/oxygen). 
Educational Qualifications : : B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical / Mechanical engineering from reputed university. MBA in marketing preferred
Technical / Subject Knowledge :

Carry out consistent assessment of the inquiry / invitation to bid under the given initial conditions and risks, manage & coordinate the decision making to quote, develop bidding strategy, prepare and submit technical & commercial offer to customer, participate in technical & commercial evaluation with customer and convert the proposal into a successful project opportunity.

 

Skill Sets :

Skill in coordinating with other PMC / Client / Key Stake Holders.

Familiarity in International codes and standards, International & National PMC standards.

Costing and Risk Management. Proposal management. 

Proven communication and presentation skills, strong analytical skills, team worker with ability to work independently, self-motivated and strong customer focus, general process knowledge of Petrochemical and Process Plants.

Software Tools & Technology : MS Office, Office 365, SAP Basic Knowledge
Targeted Industries : EPC Oil & Gas
Key Role & Responsibility :
  • Support the unit head of BD & Sales in the smooth functioning of the dept. Major Tasks involved are
  •  
  •    Carryout early engagement with customers and support them in the opportunity development
  •    Post receipt of the inquiry documents steer the assigned proposal team to carryout proposal engg. activities within the given time schedule and budget.
  •    Active participation in the conceptualization and solution for meeting the customer’s project objectives.
  •   Conduct & implement value engg. Initiatives to create differentiation in the project proposal
  •    Conduct required design reviews / risk reviews / cost reviews / management reviews / contract review.
  •     Effectively engage with PMC/Customer to ensure required time durations/timely inputs/issue resolution to meet the proposal deadlines.
  •      Observe market trends and benchmarks through leads with other providers of the product/plants in order to provide early ideas for the development and / or development of new products in order to create an edge over the competition.
  •        Engage with customer to convert the ITB into firm contract.
