Job Title / Position : Piping Design Engineer / Designer
Department : Plant Layout & Piping Design
Description : Participation in three or more projects under guidance of an experienced Lead / Expert engineer for a part of the project of low to medium complexity. Hands on experience on project with Smart 3D working environment is must. (Only training on S3D is not sufficient).Experience required on Process plants. Other type of plants viz., power plants / water treatment etc., will not be considered.
Educational Qualifications : Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Skill Sets :


Software Tools & Technology : Smart Plant 3D, Smart Plant Review, Microstation MS office applications
Targeted Industries : Relevant job experience in design field in Engineering Consultancy in an EPC project execution environment.
Key Role & Responsibility :

Responsible engineer will apply piping design solutions in assigned areas of a project.
He / she should be capable of following:
- Good knowledge for various equipment used in hydrocarbon/ petrochemical industry.
- Preparing professional and economic plant layout and piping design concepts for AG and UG piping systems in 3D CAD  (Intergraph SP3D) environment.
- Should have good knowledge of thermal behaviour of piping systems and pipe support selection. And to make economical piping design.
- Should be aware of local statutory norms related to plant layout and piping design
- Define and optimize steel structure requirements for piperack, technological structures, pipe supports, operating platforms,field columns etc.
- Ensuring client requirements in design.
- Preparing nozzle orientation for columns /equipment having internals.
- Prepare piping design deliverables. (i.e Bill of Material, Isometrics and Piping GA Drawings)
- Identifying inputs required from other disciplines and ensure quality of deliverables of piping layout department, meeting project schedule
