Job Title / Position : Equipment Responsible Engineer –Static Equipment
Department : Static Equipment and Package Units
Educational Qualifications : B.E (Mechanical)
Technical / Subject Knowledge :
  • Qualification and experience in design of static equipment like heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and special equipment like Plate Heat Exchanger, Air Cooled Exchanger, etc.
  • Worked in one or two big projects as S&T heat exchanger team member / specialist.
  • Co-ordination and technical clarifications with manufacturer for complete package with support from other disciplines
  • Kick off meeting , Vendor drawing review, Pre Inspection meeting , functional Inspection
  • Technical, cost and delivery time responsibility for Static Equipment being handled
Skill Sets :
  • Experience in handling
  •    Shell & Tube heat exchangers
  •    Pressure Vessels 
  • Special equipment like Plate &Frame heat exchangers /Air cooled heat exchangers
  • Codes and Standards:
  • ASME, EN 13445, API 660, API 661, API 662, TEMA, PED
Software Tools & Technology : Computer skills: Mandatory: MS-Office-Programs, PVElite / Microprotol advantageous: AutoCAD /HTRI, Document management system, Redlining
Targeted Industries : EPC firm in oil & gas is preferred
Key Role & Responsibility :
  • Preparation of specific technical requirements for projects
  • Preparation of mechanical data sheets, equipment specifications, definition of scope of engineering and scope of delivery
  • Implementation of lessons learnt from previous projects
  • Preparation of technical inquiries, execution of technical bid evaluation and vendor negotiation
  • Conduct technical clarification meetings and prepare final technical bid evaluation
  • Conduct kick-off meeting with the supplier and ensure participation of involved parties, as applicable.
  • Coordinate and ensure input needed from other disciplines and engineering partners
  • Conduct vendor meetings and technical clarification meetings
  • Vendor drawing & document review and managing timely completion of vendor documentation.
  • Co-ordination and execution of orders with suppliers 
  • Technical inspections in vendor workshops to ensure required quality and delivery time
  • Update the Lead Engineer / Line Manager of order progress / updates
Soft Skills :

Should be good at communication in English with good leadership skills and should be able to handle a team of people efficiently.

Experience Bracket : 8-12 years
