Job Title / Position : Engineer - Spare Parts Management

Description : Engineer - Spare Parts Management in Engineering Components Section
Educational Qualifications : B.E/ B.Tech - Mechanical/ Instrumentation Engineering
Technical / Subject Knowledge :
  • Knowledge and experience of plant and equipment used in the oil and gas industries. Maintenance background advantageous
  • Basic technical Knowledge of Rotating Equipment (Compressor Packages/Pumps/Turbines etc.), Static Equipment (Columns/Heat Exchangers/Drums etc.), Instruments, Electrical Components, Piping & Bulk Material etc.
  • Experience to review LINDE / vendor detailed drawings and parts lists to select spares requirements for new and existing equipment
  • Knowledge of Material relevant codes and standards
  • Basic knowledge and overview of Procurement, Logistics & Expediting procedures and workflows
  • Knowledge about EPC project execution phases and requirement of Capital, Commissioning and Operation spares
  • Knowledge about Spares requirements & SPIR Forms added advantage
Software Tools & Technology : MS Office, GDMS, PDF Editing, PDP & SPACY. Must be excellent in usage of MS Excel. Good in data management
Targeted Industries : EPC firms handling Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects
Key Role & Responsibility :
  • Communication with global Vendors for ongoing issues and expediting submission of SPIR list, Cross Reference Lists and relevant Documents. 
  • Review all Recommended Spare Parts Lists (SPIR’s) submitted by Vendors for content and accuracy.  Communication with EQR’s and with necessary Interfaces
  • Upload the approved SPIR’s into GDMS and SPACY
  • Dispatch and release the ordered spares in SPACY and coordinate with Procurement department for generating Purchase Orders.
  • Communicate with Vendors to get Order Confirmation, Supplier's Declaration, Material Certificates, Test Certificates, Compliance Certificate, MPL and DPL.
  • Expediting Vendor & Coordination with Logistic groups for shipment
  • Communication with Site material management team for Open Package Inspection / Handing over / Discrepancy management / Goods acceptance from Client.
  • Daily / Regular updates of project progress status reports & other related summary reports.
